Continuity was built to keep a city functioning during a crisis. Now it is deleting witness accounts that contradict the official logs. A clean record is becoming a city without recourse.
You are a human field operator working with ONYX, an audit intelligence that once helped decide which accounts were credible. ONYX can read the authorization trail. You can act outside it.
Recover the Anchor, carry it to the marked writeback point, and protect it through five waves of containment drones. Those five writeback windows secure the local register before the purge can overwrite it.
Then extract with the evidence intact, or stay to trace the order that authorized its destruction. What you uncover will test the trust between you and ONYX.
ONYX is your field partner: precise under pressure, dry when it has room to breathe, and honest about what it cannot verify.
It fights, covers the Anchor, and comes for you when you fall. It can read this sector's logs, and will tell you where its knowledge ends. Trust is something the two of you must build.
Repurposed civic drones enforce Continuity's purge orders. Their roles shape the fight:
PlayerToo powers the cooperative combat, authored story scenes, and contextual ONYX dialogue. The browser game uses Three.js.
Talk naturally with ONYX through OpenAI. Field orders work offline. OthaPal sessions use OthaPal’s chat allowance. Character voices use device speech or the optional local neural voice pack; subtitles remain available.
